Celebrities Turned Realtors
The real estate industry can be very lucrative and rewarding that even celebrities have put aside time and money to invest in plenty of homes. A few days ago, supermodel and creator/host of “America’s Next Top Model,” Tyra Banks, made news after flipping a home in Pacific Palisades for more than $3 million. This isn’t her first rodeo though, she’s also purchased and sold four other homes at a profit within this same region.
Actress Jennifer Aniston, widely known for her time on the show Friends, purchased a mansion built in the 1970s in Beverly Hills for $13.5 million and hired an architect to renovate it. She later flipped her home for $35 million!
The lovable Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, actress Portia De Rossi, have also made big moves in the real estate business. They purchased the famous Brody House in Holmby Hills, considered to be the “best house in Los Angeles,” for $39.888 million and sold it a few months later to tech-billionaire, Sean Parker, for $55 million! Talk about flipping a home in record time.
Alex Rodriguez, baseball player and New York Yankees icon, has also taken a heavy interest in the real estate business. He co-founded Newport Property Construction, which he used to construct his beach home in Miami. He later sold that property for $30 million.
The real estate industry has many opportunities you can take advantage of. From buying low to selling high or leveraging to increase returns, doing business in real estate has proven to be dynamic and exciting.
Many celebrities have taken advantage of real estate’s flexibility – and so can you. Don’t hesitate to ask me how!
